The first level is very important in that it will be the first to allow for the testing of the game mechanics, testing the gameplay, fixing bugs and adding features that will be later useful for all the coming levels.
Some things that became apparent while designing the level is that Shadow Gangs is an action game, pure action.
I was thinking to add a reflection, more exploration side to it, but that will not work.
I added some secrets etc..., and I actually removed around 40% of the initial level design because the level become too big, and too big is not good, as it proved to be boring.
All I can say for now is that it looks gorgeous, plays really great.
Collin will visit Dan at the end of each level (1, 2 and 3 bridge), and at the end of the bridge, he'll come on board of a big 2 helices heliopter, and the fight with Collin will be on top of the helicopter, with a beautiful libery statue in the background!
Bridge art is finished, and Collin level is getting finished now, and should be art finished before the end of next week.
